Jose Enrique has named his preferred Liverpool line for their game against Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield tonight, and he has gone with Ibrahima Konate ahead of Joel Matip in the heart of the defence.

Both Spurs and Jurgen Klopp’s side will go into the game tonight looking for a win. If Liverpool slip up, they’ll hand Manchester City the Premier League title, while if Antonio Conte’s men can’t win and Arsenal do tomorrow, the race for the top-four will all but be over.

It really is an exciting match-up at Anfield this evening, and there are a number of battles to keep an eye on. Liverpool’s lethal attack against Spurs’ shaky defence will be interesting, while the battle between Harry Kane and Virgil van Dijk is also a mouthwatering prospect.

The one that we’re most looking forward to, however, is how Son Heung-min fares at Anfield as he looks to close the gap between himself and Mo Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

Jose Enrique thinks Ibrahima Konate can deal with Son Heung-min’s speed

On , Enrique revealed his preferred line-up for the big game at Anfield tonight.

The ex-Liverpool left-back has gone with a front three of Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Salah, while Fabinho is joined by Thiago and Jordan Henderson in the middle of the park.

Four of Liverpool’s back-five are never up for debate. The only decision Klopp has to make is if he’ll go with Matip or 22-year-old Konate, and Enrique believes the Frenchman is a much better fit for the game against Spurs this evening.

When one fan said he’d rather start Matip ahead of the former RB Leipzig man, Enrique : “It can be (Matip) to be honest. I don’t care who of these two play because they’ve both been incredible. But, for the speed of Son, I will play Konate.”

TBR View:

Harry Kane is always the man to watch out for when your team is playing Tottenham, but Son may just be the more dangerous player these days.

The South Korean has scored 19 goals in the Premier League so far this season, just three behind top-scorer Mo Salah. With just four games left this term, he’d love to close that gap and potentially even overtake the Egyptian. However, it won’t be so easy.

Two of Spurs’ next four games are against Liverpool and Arsenal, both of whom have been good at the back this term. Salah is the likeliest to win the Golden Boot, but Son could have a say in the outcome of the game tonight.

It will be interesting to see who Klopp will go with at the back. Konate’s speed makes him a very good option against Son, but Matip’s experience in games like this could just give him the edge.
