The return to training of Wilfried Zaha, James Tomkins, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is excellent news for Crystal Palace

On Thursday, Wilfried Zaha, James Tomkins, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka all took part in Crystal Palace training, according to .

The return to training of this crucial Palace trio is excellent news for the Eagles, allowing Roy Hodgson to choose from three of his most consistent players before the trip to Old Trafford.

With Palace struggling for form and without a league win since mid-September, the injury concerns of the past fortnight seemed to add to the south London club’s misery.

Zaha missed the Tottenham match with a hamstring strain, Tomkins was forced off against Spurs, and Wan-Bissaka withdrew from the England U-21 squad at the beginning of the international break.

Yet the Palace manager will be mightily relieved that the trio participated in training, as the three are vital to the club’s chances away at Manchester United.

The Eagles are simply a different side when Zaha plays, with the Ivorian international representing Palace’s biggest goalscoring threat and serving as a team talisman.

Wan-Bissaka has been one of the standout young defenders in England this season, and Tomkins’ return is key as it appears his centre-half partner Mamadou Sakho won’t play a role on Saturday.

With two solid defenders and an outstanding attacker back in the mix for Crystal Palace this weekend, the Eagles’ chances of pulling off an upset at Old Trafford have increased.
