‘The real deal’: Some Arsenal fans call on Arteta to unleash 6ft 4in talent next season
A number of Arsenal fans believe that David Luiz’s impending departure from the Emirates should put Gunners loanee Konstantinos Mavropanos in contention for a first-team place.
The 23-year-old defender has been on the books at the Emirates Stadium since January 2018, when he joined from Greek outfit PAS Giannina.
However, injury issues have led to him making just eight first-team appearances with the North London club, much of his game time coming for the Under-23s.

Last season, Mavropanos spent time on loan at German second-tier side Nurnberg, making 13 appearances in all competitions and helping the club survive relegation.
This term, the giant has been playing for Bundesliga side Stuttgart, overcoming injury problems to make 21 appearances in all competitions.
As reported by , Luiz spoke with Arsenal officials on Friday, and the two parties decided to go their separate ways when the player’s contract expires this summer.
William Saliba, who has been on loan at Nice, is expected to get a first-team opportunity next season, .
And some Arsenal fans would love to see Mavropanos also given a chance next term:
People seem to forget about his existence. He’s the real deal!👌

David Luiz leaving, time to give a chance to Mavropanos and Saliba. Both have been good on loan and deserve a chance next season

Don’t think we can discount the possibility of Mavropanos rejoining the team after how well he’s played this season either. I’d rather have the two youngsters than Luiz any day of the week.

Someone flying under the radar for us that is returning next year:
Dinos Mavropanos. Who apparently has impressed greatly this season at Stuttgart.
What do we do with him now that we know Luiz is leaving?

Only positive from Luiz leaving is Saliba or Mavropanos possibly getting a chance, if Arteta’s gonna sign a CB then I hope it’s just a squad player cause I don’t want either of their developments being hindered

We can bring back Mavropanos – he’s been excellent in Bundesliga this season. His ball distribution is decent but will improve to PL standards in a season or two with Arteta’s coaching & some playing time. This will save us money on a new CB & we can spend on other areas instead.

It’s time to trust saliba and mavropanos
