The only striker Arsenal could potentially sign on deadline day has been named

Arsenal head into the final few hours of the transfer window still needing a new striker, and their options are dwindling.

Indeed, Arsenal’s bid for Ollie Watkins earlier this week was rejected, and while Arsenal made an approach for Evan Ferguson, Ferguson has gone to West Ham instead.

Arsenal are running out of options late in the day, and according to John Cross, speaking on All Out Football, there’s only one striker that Arsenal could now sign on deadline day.

Indeed, according to the journalist, it’s Mathys Tel or nothing for Arsenal on deadline day as the Gunners scramble to bring in a new centre-forward.

Mathys Tel or nothing for Arsenal

Cross shared what he knows about Arsenal’s interest in the striker.

The journalist says that it is Tel or nothing for Arsenal.

Tel has also been linked with Tottenham in recent times, and Spurs were ready to pay £50m for the striker too.

“I do think Arsenal will be interested. As far as I know, I think it’s Mathys Tel or nothing, basically, at this stage. I do think Arsenal have looked around to try and make things happen, bring forward some targets,” Cross said.

“And they do have Sesko lined up for the summer, if they don’t do anything now. So how will that affect that? They do need a boost.”

Why Arsenal’s attack is good enough to win the Premier League

Mathys Tel is seemingly the last option Arsenal have on deadline day, but it may not be the end of the world if they do miss out on the Frenchman.

Indeed, Arsenal’s attack is still good enough to win a Premier League title.

Arsenal are, as things stand, on track to score 78 goals this season as they’re currently averaging 2.04 goals per game, and while that’s not a huge tally, that’s certainly enough to win a Premier League title.

Tel would be the icing on the cake of this Arsenal attack, but, make no mistake about it, Arsenal are good enough to win the league without him.
