The key demand Ibrahima Konate has made which is currently causing new contract talks with Liverpool to stall

TBR Football understands that Ibrahima Konate’s new contract talks are still not progressing as Liverpool would like – they have been fairly constant since the turn of the year.

Liverpool are somewhat concerned that their talks with the defe🧜nder are not moving forward as they approach yet another contract standoff.

The Reds are eager not to get dragged into another situation where one of their stars has just 12 months left on his deal, having gone through the same situation with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.

However, it iꦑs increasingly likely they are indeed facing that scenario with the French international as a gap remains between the two parties.
