Duncan Castles that Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno is now under real pressure.

Tottenham’s downturn

Nuno has now seen his side lose their last three Premier League matches, with Tottenham conceding nine goals in that time.

He may have been in charge just a matter of months, but already there are huge concerns about his ability to do the job required.

Tottenham have lacked an attacking spark since Nuno arrived, and he has been unable to tighten up their defence.

Tottenham’s players also don’t exactly appear to be particularly motivated right now, with Spurs running the lowest distance of any team in the Premier League during matches.

It is now claimed that both Nuno and Tottenham are already having second thoughts about his appointment.

And it seems like it could only be a matter of time before a replacement comes in, if Castles’ information is correct.

He said: “The information I have is that Tottenham are already considering replacements for Nuno and this is not necessarily a unilateral process, in the sense that Nuno is not happy with his own circumstances at Tottenham.

“It’s not what he expected when he came into the club, so there’s discontent on both sides.

“The most likely solution to the problem is to be hiring another new coach.”

Quick replacement needed

The last thing Tottenham will want is another lengthy search for a manager.

Before Nuno came in they tried for numerous options, but were unable to land any of them.

Tottenham spent almost two months looking for a new boss, and if they were to have a similar length of search during the season it would likely be disastrous.

It would, therefore, be a surprise if Tottenham were to sack Nuno without having a replacement lined up.

And if Tottenham are looking at other managers already, the writing could be on the wall for Nuno, even at this early stage.
