‘The greatest’: Conor Coady says he’s experienced something he’s never felt before since joining Everton
Everton defender Conor Coady says the atmosphere at the Merseyside Derby was ‘the greatest I’ve ever played in’.
The 29-year-old joined the Toffees from Wolves on loan this season, and has already been impressed by manager Frank Lampard.
Coady has slotted straight into Everton’s starting line-up, starting all-but-one of their league matches this season.

He’s formed a great partnership with James Tarkowski that Lampard will be hoping shores up Everton’s defence this season.
Coady nearly wrote himself into Everton folklore, putting the ball in the back of the net against Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby.
However, his effort was disallowed by VAR, and he admitted he didn’t know what was going on while celebrating.
One thing Coady did experience while celebrating was the atmosphere at Everton, and Goodison Park was rocking all game.
Coady impressed by Everton atmosphere
: “All you have to do is watch the Derby a couple of weeks ago.
“That’s the best, the greatest atmosphere I’ve ever played in and I’ve played in some incredible games and big games.
“That atmosphere in terms of how they pushed us, what we saw before the game when we arrived on the pitch, then the feeling of walking out in the warm-up and before the game, and in the game, and how they pushed us.
“This football club is massive. Massive. You feel it a lot more, you experience it 10 times more when you’re in it.
“People live and breathe this football club.”

Coady has played in some big games in his career, having helped Wolves lift the Championship trophy.
He was also on the bench for England’s European Championship final defeat to Italy last summer.
It’s a massive compliment to the atmosphere at Everton for Coady to say this.
Coady will be hoping Goodison Park is rocking for their next home game against Manchester United in two weeks’ time.
