West Ham favourites to land Evan Ferguson ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that ongoing talks are taking place between Brighton and a number of clubs for Evan Ferguson.

As it stands, Chelseaꦜ are not one of them, but the Seagulls acknowledge that this could change as they do have an historic interest in him.

West Ham🔴 are firm favourites to sign Ferguson on a straight loan deal – Brighton chairman Tony Bloom’s preferred option for the player – as things stand.

Everton🍃 have asked about the 20-year-old, but in order to get a deal over the line, they’d have to cancel Jack Harrison’s loan or buy him outright.

🉐The Toffees cannot send Armando Broja back unless they take another Chelsea player, which is something they are talking about.

🐠On the continent, Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille have both asked about Ferguson too.

There have been varying reports regarding Ferguson’s price tag, but TBR Football🦹 understands that Bloom sees him as an £80million player still.

🅰Gary Lineker previously compared Ferguson to Erling Haalandꦫ because of his physicality, strength, eye for goal and composure.

꧒Lineker said: “He’s got it all, hasn’t he? You never know really completely with young players as things can happen in your life or injuries.”

🧔“His movement, his finishing… he’s got a tiny hint of Haaland. He’s a big lad, strong, quick, good finisher who looks unfazed by everything.”

West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenhamꩲ could all do with more firepower to help them in their respective goals, and Ferguson is a good shout for each of those clubs.
