The club ‘leading the chase’ to sign Evan Ferguson has been named after interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham

Evan Ferguson is one of the most coveted young strikers in the Premier League despite his rise to the top being halted by an ill-timed ankle injury.

Brighton’s Ferguson has been on Arsenal’s striker shortlist alongside Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres and Randal Kolo Muani, who is out of the picture as he is on loan to Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Arsenal are not the club who are in the pursuit of the Irishman.

Tottenham have been keeping tabs on Ferguson’s future as well.

While TBR Football exclusively revealed West Ham’s confirmed interest in Ferguson as well.

Bayer Leverkusen frontrunners for Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham target Evan Ferguson

Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham might need to sign a striker as much as Arsenal, considering Dominic Solanke has been sidelined with a knee injury while Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio are also unavailable.

Lucas Paqueta thrived up front against Aston Villa but Graham Potter would presumably like to deploy the Brazilian in his best position, which is in midfield.

Sky Sports reporter Mark McAdam has revealed that Bayer Leverkusen are “leading the chase” to sign Evan Ferguson.

Furthermore, a number of Premier League clubs have asked to be “kept updated” about the 20-year-old’s availability in this window.

However, Ferguson’s representatives are “in talks” with Xabi Alonso’s side. The aforementioned update will not be good news for either of the three clubs.

Tottenham reportedly asked about signing Ferguson from Brighton, considering Solanke is set to be unavailable for a number of weeks.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s interest in Ferguson stems from the start of the year.

Mystery club have bid for Evan Ferguson already

Brighton rejected a bid for Ferguson from an unnamed club already.

Brighton would like to loan Ferguson out as co-owner Tony Bloom still believes the youngster has tremendous potential.

But TBR Football understands that any permanent deal would only be considered if offers are presented worth in excess of £50 million.

It seems like Bayer Leverkusen have ramped up their efforts to sign Ferguson, especially considering Victor Boniface looks set to sign for Al-Nassr, as per Fabrizio Romano.
