Arsenal Invincibles: Where are they now? Including England staff member and padel coach

The Arsenal side of 2003/04 remain the only team ever to complete a Premier League season without losing.

Arsene Wenger oversaw a truly unique Premier League title win that season – as the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira ensured Arsenal won 26 and drew 12 of theirꦰ 38𒊎 games.

In doing so, the Gunners became the first and only si✅de ever to be awarded a gold Premier League trophy, to commemorate an achievement which may never be matched.

After the 2003/04 Arsenal squad c🥀emente💜d themselves in football folklore, let’s take a look at where they are today.

Jens Lehmann

Jens Lehmann was like a giant ꦺin goal for Arsenal during that special 2003/04 season.

The German kept 15 clean sheꦺets in 38 Premie🐟r League appearances – conceding only 26 goals.

Lehmann – who backed Aaron Ramsdale over David Raya – is now a board member for the youth football foundation Stiftung Jugendfußball, founded by Jurgen 💧Klinsmann, and also works as an ambassador for the foundation Power-Child Campus South Africa.

Lauren

Lauren was a standout player for Wenger in 2003/04 – making 32 appearances on the right of defenc🍒e.

Since retiring from football, the Cameroonian has be🌌come an Arsenal ambassador for the African continent, a FIFA technical expert for talent development and regularly features on La Liga TV’s Viva La Liga as a commentator.

Kolo Toure

Kolo Toure was formidable under ꧋Wenger during the In⛄vincible campaign, making 37 Premier League appearances out of a possible 38.

The Ivorian went into coaching after retirement, assisting Brendan Rodgers at Celtic and Leicester, before becoming a manager himself when Wigan offered him a job in♛ November 2022.

Toure was sacked not long after in Januꦚary 2023 with the Latics bottom of the Championship, and is yet to take up another role.

Sol Campbell

Sol Camp🍸bell played a key role during the Invincible season – making 35 Premier League appearances in the centre of defence.

The 50-year-old has since tried his hand at 💙football management, spending time with Macclesfield Town and Southeܫnd United between 2018 and 2020, but now works in media, recently appearing on AFTV.

Martin Keown

Martin Keown has worked as a scout and coach for Arsenal since hanging up🐓 his boots.

The man born in Oxford – who made ten appearances in that famous 2003/04 sea🌼son – now works as a pundit for TNT Sports and BBC Sport🐼.

Pascal Cygan

Pascal Cygan made 18𝓰 Premier League appearances for Arsenal as a central defender in 2003/04 – and no🎃w works as a youth coach for Belgian side Royal Excel.

Ashley Cole

Ashley Cole also went into coaching after retirement.

The Londoner made 34 Premier League ap🔯pearances – providing four assists – during the Invincible season, before working at Derby, England, Everton and Birmingha𒅌m as a coach.

Cole – who graduated from the Arsenal academy – is currently part of 🅺Thomas Tuchel’s backroom staff for Engl𒁃and.

Gael Clichy

Gael Clichy made 12 Premier League appeaꦡrances for Arsenal during the Invꦓincible season.

The Frenc𝔍hman 🐟now works as Assistant Manager to Gerald Baticle for the France U21 side.

Gilberto Silva

Gilberto Silva was a rock in midfield for Arsenal in𒆙 2003/04 – making 32 Premier League appearances with four goals and four assists to his name.

The Brazilian currently worღks as an ambassador for both Arsenal and FIFA.

Patrick Vieira

Vieira played a ♛key role for Arsenal in the 2003/04 campaign – scoring three goals and providing four a🔯ssists in 29 Premier League appearances.

The Frenchman has sꦦince dived into football man✱agement – he is currently in charge of Genoa after spells at New York City, OGC Nice, Crystal Palace and Strasbourg.

Edu Gaspar

Edu Gaspar was only recently working as Director of Football a🎉t Arsenal – supporting Mikel Arteta.

However, the Brazilian resigned in November 2024.

Edu now works for Evangelos Marinakis – heading up the Greek businessman’s network of clubs, including Notting🦩ham Forest, Olympiacos and🅺 Rio Ave.

Ray Parlour

Ray Parlour now works for talkSPORT as a pundit.

The man from Romford made 25 Premier League appearances �🍃�for Arsenal during the Invincible season.

Freddie Ljungberg

Freddie Ljungberg is now an ambassador for PUMA.

The Swede – who scored four goals and provided five assists in ꧂30 Premier League appearances in 2003/04 – also worked as Interim Manager for Arsenal after Unai Emery was sacked.

Robert Pires

Alongside Henry, Robert Pires was a ke🃏y cog under Wenger in the Invincible season.

The Frenchman scored 14 goals and 🅰provided nine assists in 36 Premier League appearances.

Pires ha🎃s kept a low profile since retirement – but is known to have worked as a coach at Pena Deporti🎃va as of 2023, who play in the lower leagues of Spain.

Dennis Bergkamp

Dennis Bergkamp shone in the 2003/04 campaign for Arsenal – scoring �✃�four goals and providing seven assists in 28 Premier League appearances.

The Dutchman worked as a coach at Ajax from 2011 to 2017 after hanging ♕up his boots, an🍰d seems keen on a similar role at Arsenal.

Speaking at the FWA (Football Writer’s Association) Tribute Night, Bergkamp – who Arne Slot admires – said: “If something interesting to me๊ were to come along, then I’m sure I’d like to do something like that.”

Thierry Henry

Henry remarkably scored 30 goals in 37 Premier League appearances in that 20🔯03/04 seaso🎉n – unsurprisingly securing the Golden Boot award.

Now aged 47, the Frenchman works as a pundit fಌor CBS Sports, Sky Sports and o🐭ther broadcasters, while also doing some coaching work, having managed France at the Olympic Games in the summer of 2024.

Jeremie Aliadiere

Jer𓆏emie Aliadiere is now a matchday presenter for Arsenal – as well as a UE🐻FA B qualified coach.

The Frenchman made ten appearan🍬ces for Arsenal in ♐the Invincible season.

Nwankwo Kanu

Nwౠankwo Kanu – who named Vieir꧅a as his best teammate – scored one goal and assisted a further two in ten Premier League🗹 appearances for Arsenal across the 2003/04 season.

The N🅷igerian now works as a freelaꦏnce Sports Consultant – and spends time focusing on his charity, the Kanu Heart Foundation.

Sylvain Wiltord

Sylvain Wiltord scored three goals in 12 Premi💎er League appearances to help Arsenal go unbeaten in the 2003/04 Premier League c🌠ampaign.

The Freꦛnchman currently works as a padel coach – discovering a love for the sport following his retiremen♔t from football.

Jose Antonio Reyes

Jose Antonio Reyes ended his career in the Spanish second division with Extremadura – having scored tw🐭o goals in 13 Premier League appearances during the Invincible season.

Tragically – at the age of just 35 – 🐠the Spaniard died in a car accident in June 2019.
