Michail Antonio has been left stunned after hearing a statistic about Manchester United’s recent defeat at Manchester City.

Despite taking an early lead at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a Marcus Rashford stunner, Erik ten Hag’s men were well-beaten by their Manche🉐ster rivals.

There were some encouraging signs for Manchester United as they put in a resilient defensive display for large chunks of the game. B☂ut there is no denying that City deservedly picked up three points after dominating proceedings.

Indeed, United managed just in the derby, which is to be expecte🌜d considering City’s style of play.

But City registꦗered a total of 27 shots in the game – more than United managed in terms of having the ball.

Not many teams, if any, go to the Etihad Stadium and dominate the ball so there’s no sham🐟e for United in this regard.

For the most part, Ten Hag’s side defended well against the champions, especially when you c🐼onsider the fact that two of their most important defenders, Luke Shaw and Lisandro Martinez, were sidelined.

The defeat was a blow𝐆 to their top-four hopes though as they trail Aston Villa by 11 points.

It🌊 will be a tough ask for Ten Hag to guide United back into the Champions League so you’d imagine the FA Cup will be huge ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚfor the Dutchman now.

After a disappointing campaign so far, picking up silverware would certainly relie♏ve some of the pres💛sure on the United boss heading into the summer.
