‘That’s what we want’: Some Arsenal fans agree with Arteta’s ‘last roll of the dice’ amid reports

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has reportedly told friends that he is in line to star next weekend’s Premier League fixture against Norwich City.

, the 23-year-old shot-stopper believes that Mikel Arteta could turn to the youngster to start against the Canaries. Ramsdale joined Arsenal in the summer, yet the keeper is yet to start a Premier League game.

Usual number one Bernd Leno has been entrusted with starting between the sticks for Arsenal in the opening three Premier League games. However, the Gunners have started the new season in awful fashion.

Arsenal lost to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City without scoring a single goal. Moreover, the Gunners have conceded more goals than they have had shots on target in the Premier League so far this season.

Indeed, Leno’s performances themself have not been poor. The keeper made an outstanding save against Chelsea, with the likes of Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares and Rob Holding being the main reasons for Arsenal’s leaky defence.

However, Arteta could be about to make a dramatic change in the XI by replacing Leno with Ramsdale against Norwich.

It would be a drastic decision from the Arsenal manager. But with the Gunners desperate for points and for the defence to improve, throwing Ramsdale in against Norwich could work.

And on social media, supporters agree with Arteta’s decision that Ramsdale should start ahead of Leno against Norwich.
