‘That’s unheard of’: Jesse Marsch claims Leeds United now have a totally unique player

Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch has spoken ahead of his side’s FA Cup replay against Cardiff City.

Marsch may need a positive result from this match.

, “According to our information, the leaders of Leeds are considering replacing the American technician.

“Even if nothing is yet recorded, the Peacocks have already established a short list of several names.”

Tomorrow’s match at Elland Road could play a part in deciding Marsch’s future, with Leeds hovering above the relegation zone.

The Leeds hierarchy have backed Marsch in the January transfer window, which suggests they still have faith in the American.

They’ve even broken their transfer record to sign forward Georginio Rutter from Hoffenheim.

Rutter ahead of Leeds’ next match, and where the Frenchman might fit into the side.

It’s safe to say he’s already been very impressed by the 20-year-old.

Marsch impressed with new Leeds signing Rutter

“GR’s 50-50 on both feet. That’s unheard of.

“There is always some reliance on one foot. Speed, intelligence, quickness.

“Upside and potential with him. Use him striker, wide, second striker.”

Rutter could be followed by another big signing this window if Leeds continue to back Marsch.

World Cup star Azzedine Ounahi has been closely linked, and would be a very useful option in midfield.

Leeds currently have plenty of forward options now and Rutter’s versatility will certainly come in handy.

The recent form of Wilfried Gnonto makes it very unlikely that he’ll be dropped any time soon.

Patrick Bamford is finally off the mark in the league this season, but his long-term fitness is still a concern.

It will be interesting to see where Marsch ends up using Rutter at Leeds.
