‘That’s the problem’… £25m Tottenham player may be forced to leave this summer
Ryan Sessegnon could end up leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer in search of regular gametime.
The 23-year-old has played just a total of seven minutes this season after spending the past 11 months on the sidelines.
Sessegnon hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to injuries during his time at Tottenham, with persistent hamstring injuries hampering his progress in north London.

The Englishman returned to action against Burnley in the FA Cup third round in early January but has been ruled out through injury since.
And while Alasdair Gold believes the fresh injury concerns aren’t anything too serious, he feels the defender may be forced to move on this summer.

Speaking on the , Gold shared a fresh update on Sessegnon’s fitness and the defender’s future at Tottenham.
“I saw he was in the video doing gym work this week,” Gold said. “It’s a difficult one. I asked Ange about him the other day.
“Essentially he just had I suppose what you’d expect from someone who’s just played their first game in 11 months, he just had some aches and pains and little issues that need dealing with.
“It’s a really difficult one because he’s kind of a guy that needs a run of football but I don’t think he’s going to get it, that’s the problem.
“I think he’s just going to have to wait until the summer and head somewhere, whether it’s loan or permanent, but he’s not going to get it at Spurs right now.”

Sessegnon made the switch to Spurs back in the summer of 2019 as he joined for a fee.
He’d displayed plenty of promise during his time at Fulham and was widely regarded as one of England’s most exciting prospects at the time.
But he’s failed to nail down a place at Spurs under several managers and that’s largely down to persistent hamstring injuries.
It’s already been claimed that Postecoglou is ready to sell Sessegnon this summer as he will enter the final 12 months of his deal at the end of the season.
While it would be a shame to see Sessegnon move on without reaching his full potential at Spurs, it would probably be best for all parties involved.
He’s unlikely to start regularly at Tottenham due to the impact of Destiny Udogie. Sessegnon will also need regular minutes to return to full fitness and build his confidence after a difficult few years.
