‘That’s just not acceptable’: Ally McCoist fuming with what £43m Spurs target did at the World Cup yesterday
Ally McCoist has criticised reported Tottenham Hotspur target Kim Min Jae at the World Cup last night.
Kim was part of the South Korea backline which took on Brazil in the last 16 last night and it was a chastening evening for the whole team.
Brazil were 2-0 up within 10 minutes and 4-0 up by half-time in a game which could have been any score at the interval.
South Korea played a brave 4-4-2 system which left so much space for Brazil to break into, including one particular instance when Richarlison raced into the box before half-time.

McCoist on Kim
Kim did not come over to stop the Spurs forward once it became clear he had got away from South Korea’s left-back, leaving him a free shot at goal.
Richarlison took a heavy touch before shooting and his strike was saved but McCoist was still not impressed on co-commentary.
He said: “Kim-Min Jae, I don’t know what he’s playing at. He allows Richarlison right into the box to have a shot at goal. That’s just not acceptable, sorry.”
Journalist Raffaele Auriemma, speaking to – via – recently said: “Let’s talk about Min-jae Kim.
“I’m receiving worrying information regarding the possibility that someone could enforce the clause worth €50m because there is the possibility from the 1st to the 15th of July to buy him by paying the release clause.
“Diplomacy is underway to try to extend the agreement between Napoli and the player by removing the clause. We will see if Napoli will succeed.
“In the meantime, there is already one club that has made a move.
“We are talking about Antonio Conte’s Tottenham, who have made it known that they are ready to pay that €50m clause so that two South Koreans can play together: Kim and Son.”
Spurs will not be impressed by last night’s performance but it was a tough night for the whole team and Brazil could well prove to be a class above every other team in the World Cup, not just South Korea.
