Teddy Sheringham reacts to comments made by Fabio Paratici on Tottenham star

Harry Kane’s future continues to be a big talking point after reports emerged that he wanted to leave Tottenham in pursuit of trophies this summer. Fabio Paratici has thrown a curveball, though, stating the plan is to keep Kane – but Teddy Sheringham is not so confident.

Kane, 27, is a target for Manchester City this summer. While Spurs and Daniel Levy will only sell if a figure of £150million is met, it is claimed that fee could be reduced with the inclusion of some players. The Athletic say City have placed five on the table for Tottenham, if they want them.

Speaking to Sky Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio on Sunday evening, sporting director But Spurs icon Sheringham does not agree, stating that he believes Kane will leave – especially after his comments on Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne.

“He’s made his decision,” . “He’s told Tottenham what he wants to do. I heard the sporting director say he can’t wait to work with Harry. I’m not so sure that is going to be the case. He said he wants to play with De Bruyne and Man City. I would think that is going to happen.”

Kane to Manchester City: What is stopping Tottenham exit – amid Sheringham claim?

Well, firstly, Euro 2020 is preventing anything from happening. But then after that, it will be the stubbornness of Daniel Levy. It will be that if Levy does not receive what he wants for Kane, then Kane will stay. Will City pay £150million? Probably not. But a swap deal is unlikely too.

Which Manchester City player would swap Pep Guardiola’s side for Spurs, who finished seventh last season? Those that would be willing to do so probably won’t improve Spurs. Personal issues and convincing Kane will not be an issue. It will be finding an agreement in terms of fee.
