Teddy Sheringham expects Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino to stay

Teddy Sheringham has predicted that manager Tottenham Mauricio Pochettino will stay with the club ahead of the move to the new stadium.

, Manchester United were keen on the Spurs boss before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoyed great success in interim charge at Old Trafford.

Pochettino has also been on the radar of Real Madrid (), but Zinedine Zidane has since return to the Bernabeu for a second stint in charge.

Ex-Spurs striker Sherginham claims there is no reason for Pochettino to exit and spoke abut how much he is adored by fans.

“For me, why would he want to be leaving Tottenham? The club is on the up, it’s a fantastic club to be involved with, I think all the supporters love him,”

“They’re just moving into a new stadium, he’s working with some of the best players, not only in the country but in the world, if I had to bet, I would say he’s gonna be staying and looking forward to next season.”

TBR’s View:

One of the biggest fears for Spurs fans must be the eventual departure of Pochettino, as he’s been the mastermind behind the club’s rise in recent years into top four regulars.

The Argentinian manager has managed to build an excellent team that is unfortunate to miss out on silverware so far, but they have an excellent core group of players that still have potential to get better.

It would be an impossible task to try replace Pochettino at the Spurs helm and thankfully for them it looks good moving into the summer.

He’s certainly the right man to lead them into the stadium and just needs to get over the final hurdle for a trophy to cement his legacy.
