Teddy Sheringham comments on West Ham attacker Marko Arnautovic amid exit talk
Teddy Sheringham believes that his former club West Ham should sell Marko Arnautovic if he wants to leave the London Stadium.
the Hammers have rejected a £19.7million bid this summer amid interest from an unnamed Chinese club.
It is understood that the 30-year-old has handed in a transfer request and wants to exit the Hammers, but the club expect him to honour the contract extension he signed in January.
The report explains that Chinese teams Shanghai SIPG and Guangzhou Evergrande chased Arnautovic back in January, but West Ham rejected a £35million bid for him.
Sheringham has spoken about Arnautovic’s situation at the club this summer and concluded it may be better if he does depart if his head has been turned.
“Does he want to leave? Is he seeing himself going to China? Does he want to play for West Ham on the money he’s on? Is he going keep constantly having his head turned? I don’t know,”
“You’ve got to ask him that question – Do you want to stay? Do you want to play for us? If not, let’s take the money, get him out and we’ll move on.
“Do you want to play for us or not, can you give us your all? That’s what we want to see out there on the park, someone giving 100 per cent for our team.”

TBR’s View:
West Ham need to resolve the Arnautovic saga quickly if they can this summer and stay focused on next season.
They should really be pushing for the European spots with Manuel Pellegrini at the helm and the talented group of players they have, which is why they don’t need any transfer clouds hanging over them.
The Hammers should sell the Austria international if an appropriate offer comes in from China, but will need to sign a centre-forward to replace him.
