Premier League champions and top four

Charles – Pretty straigh𒐪tforward really. Yo🌜u can’t back against the team that have done it four times in a row. Liverpool and Arsenal will have a close battle for second, but I think Liverpool have more quality. Newcastle at their best can give anyone a run for their money, and with one or two more signings they can seriously push on.

Brogan – Unfortunately, this is going to be Arsenal’s year. The years of building under Mikel Arteta are 🌞finally going to pay off with some minor tweaks over the summer window. Liverpool remain one of the biggest questions going into the season following Jurgen Klopp’s departure. And Tottenham are going to sneak into the top four despite balancing Europa League football.

Mark – With the addition of Riccardo Calafio🐻ri this summer, Arsenal’s solid foundations will see them over the line this time. Chelsea are perhaps my surprise pick but being a Leicester fan, I’m confident Enzo Maresca will be a success if Todd Boehly is patient.

Billy – 2024/25 is the year Arsenal finally beat Manchester City to the Premier League title – Mikel Arteta’s side are now more experienced, and will learn from lᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚast season’s slip ups in December which ultimately cost them dear.

Lucas – My heart says Arsenal, and I’ll go with that – whether I believe my own prediction is another thing. I think Liverpool will be cl🎐oser to the top two than most imagine, and in terms of fourth I do think it’ll be close between Newcastle and Tottenham. Ultimately I still think Spurs’ squad looks a bit thin with a Europa League campaign to navigate too. Beyond them, I’m not backing Chelsea or Manchester United to be any better than last season.

Premier League bottom four

Charles Nottingham Forest have been hanging on by a threat the last two seasons, and I think this is their time to drop out. Leicester🌱 aren’t a bad side, but this impending points deduction will be a big problem. Ipswich are miles away from being Premier League quality.

Brogan Steve Cooper to be the first manager sacked with the Leicester fans already ﷽questioning his appointment. The newly-promoted sides are going to be in and around the bottom three, but Brentford are going to return to the Championship after some valiant years in the top flight. Ipswich will provide some shocks along the way and narrowly avoid the drop.

Mark Ipswich largely have the makings of a Championship squad and have a lot of business to do if they are to stay in the league. I really like Russell Martin and his brand of football but his personnel just aren’t Premier League level. Forest have been walking a tight rope these last couple of seasons and Nu♒no Espirito Santo’s pragmatism could see the goals dry up.

Billy – Nottingham Forest avoided relegation by the skin of their teeth last season, al🐼though I did not feel Nuno Espirito Santo made that much of an impact🔥, and the Reds were lucky Luton, Sheffield United and Burnley were so poor. Ipswich to stay up relatively comfortably after a strong summer of recruitment, and one of the most precocious managerial talents around in Kieran McKenna at the helm.

Lucas – I’ll admit that it’s very boring to pick the three promoted teams to go straight back down, but I can’t decide otherwise. I’m excited to watch Ipswich who are still a bit of an unkﷺnown quantity to me – but everyone is saying such great things about Kieran McKenna’s football. I think Wolves might be close to the drop zone too this year, but I’m choosing Forest to sit just above the relegated trio.

Premier League top goalscorer

Charles – Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Brogan – Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Mark – Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

Billy Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa)

Lucas – Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)

Best summer signing

Charles Crysencio Summerville (West Ham United)

We’ve seen so many Championship players make the step up with ease in recent years. £25m for Summerville could✅ be an absolute bargain, especially when his two Leeds teammates, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter have moved for £40m despite not being anywhere near as good as Summerville last season.

Brogan Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest)

He’s not going to be winning the PFA Player of the Year come the end of the season but keep an eye out for Elliot Anderson at Nottinꦗgham Forest. The Reds are being tipped for relegation this season but Anderson has arrived in a big money move from Newcastle and had a fantastic pre-season. He could be a key player in keeping Forest up.

Mark Crysencio Summerville (West Ham United)

He waꦇs miles too good for the Championship last year and I was quite surprised Liverpool didn’t come in for him.

Billy Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace)

Signed on a free transfer and already familiar with Oliver Glasner’s style from their days at Eintracht Frankfurt, the Japaဣn international has the tools to become a Premier League star.

Lucas Emile Smith Rowe (Fulham)

Perhaps I’m just a biassed Arsenal fan but I still can’t quite believe it got to the point where we had to let Smith Rowe go. It’s the right call, but that doesn’t mean that Fulham aren’t getting a fantastic player. It’s easy to forget that he was once held in the same breath as Bukayo Saka. If he stays fit he’ll be a g🌼ame-changer for Fulham.

Premier League surprise package (club or player)

Charles Fabio Carvalho (Brentford)

Brentford have got an incredible player here if they use him correctly. Criminally underused by Liverpool the las💟t two year🅺s.

Brogan Emile Smith Rowe (Fulham)

The former Arsenal midfielder now has the opportunity to shine after joiningꦿ Fulham. The Englishman will be playing regular football under Marco Silva and has the opportunity to remind the Premier League just what he is capable of.

Mark Abdul Fatawu (Leicester City)

Maybe I’m slightly biassed but wait until you see his left-f🅷oot…

Billy Tottenham

The superb signings of elite young talent in Lucas Bergvalꦆl and A𒁏rchie Gray has slipped under the radar, while Ange Postecoglou finally has a proper No.9 who can lead the line in Dominic Solanke. I will boldly tip Spurs to win one of the domestic cups.

Lucas Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Arguaꦉbly the player I’ve enjoyed watching clips of the most in pre-season. Still can’t believe Newcastle got themselves into the situation in which they needed to let him go. £30m isn’t cheap but from what I’ve seen from him at Brighton thus far, Minteh looks like a super exciting talent, the kind of player you wouldn’t sell to a Premier League rival…

I am most looking forward to…

Charles Manchester United’s inev𓆏itable crisis and meltdown befor🐽e Christmas.

Brogan – Watching Tottenham’s youngsters shine. Ange Postecoglou has some serious talent to select this season in Archie Gray, Lucas B𝔉ergvall and, of course, Mikey Moore. How much football they will play is yet to be seen but the trio are seriously exciting young talents.

Mark – The title race. Can Arteta fin🌜ally get one over Pep?

Billy – Seeing how Ipswich get on. It is beco༺ming more and more rare to see fresh faces in the Premier League due to parachute payments helping the same crop of clubs (I’m looking at you, Norwich, West Brom and Burnley) come up and down, so it will be a breath of fresh air to see the Tractor Boys back in the Premier League for the first time since 2002.

Lucas – Manchester United sacking Erik ten Hag. In all honesty, I like Ten Hag, and do feel like he’s had a hard time at Old Trafford. But I still can’t wrap my head around the club’s decision to publicly decide his fut🐻ure, I don’t see how he goes on to succeed from here.
