TBR View: Youssef En-Nesyri shows West Ham why they must sign him

West Ham will go in search of a new striker in the summer and Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri highlighted this week why he should be top of the list.

The La Liga outfit were dumped out of the Champions League by Dortmund after a spirited 2-2 draw with the German giants.

Sevilla slipped to a 5-4 aggregate defeat but did come from two goals down to draw the second leg, thanks to a brace by En-Nesyri.

His two goals took his tally to 19 for the campaign and his performance highlighted why interest will be rife this summer.

En-Nesyri will have plenty of admirers in the summer, with recently claiming that Liverpool were now in the mix for his signature too.

West Ham sold Sebastien Haller during January and their need for a new striker will become apparent in the summer.

Michail Antonio is the only senior striker in the Hammers’ ranks and reinforcements will be necessary for next season.

Plenty of strikers have been linked with a move to the London Stadium. Tammy Abraham, Eddie Nketiah, Adam Armstrong and Abdallah Sima have all been mentioned.

En-Nesyri represents the most attractive option though and his goalscoring efforts this season won’t have gone unnoticed.

West Ham look on course for a European place this season with their good Premier League form. That would certainly make them an attractive proposition for the 35-cap star.

He’d be almost like-for-like as a replacement for Haller and West Ham simply have to move heaven and earth to sign him in the summer.
