TBR view: Tottenham must make a move for Ciro Immobile
Tottenham are in desperate need of a striker this month. The likes of Lucas Moura and Son Heung-Min can play there, but the North London club are looking toothless without Harry Kane. Here is why they should consider a move for Lazio hotshot Ciro Immobile.
The Italian striker has been in superb form so far this season. Immobile has scored an incredible 23 goals in just 19 Serie A appearances. He has also provided five assists for his teammates and must be in the conversation for Europe’s deadliest striker.

The 29-year-old scored a hat-trick in Lazio’s 5-1 win over Sampdoria on Saturday and has been crucial for the Italian side all season. He has dragged them to third in the League and put them in with a chance of Champions League qualification next season.
Immobile’s attributes make him a perfect fit for the Premier League, and Tottenham. He is strong and powerful like Harry Kane and possesses a similar level of clever movement and link-up play. The Italy international is yet to play in England and may be tempted by the challenge if Spurs made a move.

The stumbling block on this one could be the fee. Lazio will be desperate to keep hold of their star man and would be forgiven for demanding a big fee for one of the world’s top strikers. However, it is becoming more and more clear each week that Tottenham need a striker.
Immobile would fit in perfectly and could prove vital in the club’s push for Champions League qualification.
