TBR View: Tottenham have got to go for Liverpool star reportedly on chopping block

Liverpool are reportedly set for a summer overhaul six players that are in danger of being sold by Jurgen Klopp – and Tottenham Hotspur have got to take advantage by luring one of them to north London.

Dejan Lovren, Loris Karius, Nathaniel Clyne, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri have been named as possible exits, while the Mirror forgets to mention Adam Lallana and Pedro Chirivella who are due to depart – as their contracts expire in June.

The other of the six names is striker Divock Origi, who may have finally become fed up with playing second fiddle to Roberto Firmino at Anfield. Origi, who joined Liverpool for £10million (), has played 134 times for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Of those outings, though, he has started just 55. Origi, who scored in the Champions League final, may now look to change it up and swap Merseyside for a new challenge. Tottenham have to offer him a chance to shine under Jose Mourinho.

that Tottenham were considering a move for the former Lille striker. Not only would Origi be competition for Harry Kane, rather than back-up, but he would also offer cover out wide.

Spurs desperately need more fire power, something which they failed to bring in on deadline day. Injuries to Kane, Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn has further highlighted the fact that Spurs lack top-quality cover.

If Liverpool are willing to place Origi on the chopping block, then there is no question that Tottenham should become interested. It is a no-brainer for Daniel Levy – signing Origi may finally take Spurs to the next level.
