TBR View: The perfect Tottenham candidate will be easy to appoint this summer
Tottenham’s search for a new manager is likely to have started already and could have been in process for the last few days, after it was confirmed that Jose Mourinho has left the London club. The perfect replacement will be easier to get this summer.
Mourinho has gone after a 2-2 draw at Everton. With six Premier League games to play, they are five points off the top four and in danger of failing to get Champions League football for a second successive season. They are in the Carabao Cup final.
But facing Manchester City, the chances they get a result are unlikely. Spurs need a replacement and plenty of big names have been linked with the role – Eddie Howe, Julian Nagelsmann, Max Allegri, Brendan Rodgers and plenty more.
However, the perfect manager is under their noses in the form of Fulham boss Scott Parker. It is easy to say Parker knows what it means to be a Tottenham manager but having played 63 times for Spurs between 2011 and 2013 – he understands Spurs.

He gets the frustration from fans. The benefit he has over the likes of Nagelsmann and Allegri is that he now boasts Premier League experience – shining in his role as Fulham boss and almost guiding them to safety, though relegation now looks likely.
What he boasts ahead of Rodgers and Nuno Santo, is that he will be easily hired this summer. Fulham look as if they will be relegated this summer – with Newcastle’s form improving. Six points adrift, Fulham have played more games than others.
Parker has the Premier League experience but is young and fresh, he has the personality and charisma, he has the Tottenham history and when the summer comes and Fulham are – more than likely – relegated, he will be easy to hire this summer.
suggested that he was a manager that was being considered by Spurs and with Mourinho gone, the £96,000-a-week () boss would be the perfect addition – one that will be easy to complete in the coming weeks.
