TBR View: Should Leeds consider Liverpool star, despite Klopp stance?
Leeds should be busy in the upcoming window as Marcelo Bielsa looks to build on a brilliant first season. Leeds fans will be well aware of clubs tailing off in their second season after promotion. A left-back has got to be at the top of the agenda.
Huesca’s Javi Galan, Lyon’s Maxwel Cornet and Brest’s Romain Perraud have been linked with Leeds. Back on these shores, Crystal Palace’s soon-to-be free agent Patrick van Aanholt is also said to be a target for the Yorkshire side. But another player currently residing in the Premier League is ideal.
that Jurgen Klopp continues to have faith in Greece international Konstantinos Tsimikas. The 25-year-old left-back was signed for £11million () last summer, but managed just 225 minutes of senior action for the Reds during 2020-21 with Andy Robertson first choice.

Surely Tsimikas will be frustrated at Liverpool and Leeds need to profit
While Klopp may have faith in the Greece international, Tsimikas will surely be frustrated. The defender needs game time if he is to prove his price tag and he will not want to be thrown on the scrapheap as soon as he joins. Robertson has a brilliant engine showing no signs of slowing down.
So, Tsimikas needs to consider a loan move this summer. The left-back would really benefit from joining another Premier League side for the 21-22 season to show Klopp what he is capable of. His trickery and speed in the final third is just as good when it comes to defending. Leeds would be ideal.
A loan move to Marcelo Bielsa’s side, who need a left-sided defender, would give Tsimikas the perfect platform to shine. It would keep him right under Klopp’s nose and give him every chance of breaking into the Liverpool side going forward. If a deal can be done, then it is a no-brainer.
