TBR View: Raul Jimenez continues to prove his class at Wolves

Raul Jimenez scored yet again yesterday as Wolves continued to impress this season.

Despite a hefty Europa League campaign already, Nuno Santo’s men are sitting nicely in sixth place in the Premier League table.

A fight-back win at Norwich City yesterday was impressive. Goals from Romain Saiss and the aforementioned Jimenez, sealing the comeback win.

There were some excellent performances in the Wolves ranks again. However, it was the display and overall showing of Jimenez that caught the eye once more.

The Mexican striker has been nothing short of a revelation since moving to Molineux. After taking some time to find his feet, this season he has proved he belongs on the big stage.

All-action

As modern-day strikers go, Raul Jimenez has it all. He’s built and moves like a typical, old-fashioned number nine.

But, there is so much more to his game. Mobility, power, and ruthless finishing are just three of the traits he brings to the table.

His goals record this season is quite astonishing, too. He’s already bagged 16 goals, with seven of those coming in the Premier League.

Remarkably, he’s also laid on an impressive eight assists for his teammates.

Top four eyes

With such performances in his locker, Raul Jimenez is one player who the top clubs should be eyeing.

Players who can do it all and knit things together at the top of the pitch are few and far between. Bobby Firmino does it well for Liverpool, while Sergio Aguero has done it for years for Man City.

In what will be another busy summer with money spent, the so-called ‘big boys’ might be best splashing the cash on Jimenez.

Of course, Wolves are in no rush to sell. They are also looking to break into the top four themselves.

But, every player has his price and Raul Jimenez is right at the top of his game at Wolves.
