TBR View: Leeds should consider re-signing Ronaldo Vieira, he is reportedly available

Leeds United have completed some excellent transfer business this summer already, but there are still a few more days to try get anymore signings through the door at Elland Road.

The Whites have a strong core group that are settling to life quickly in the Premier League, winning two of their opening three top-flight games.

Despite the impressive start from Marcelo Bielsa’s men, they could perhaps do with a couple more bodies in the centre of the park to bolster their options in what will be a challenging campaign.

Leeds should consider looking to sign the club’s ex-midfielder Ronaldo Vieira, who left Elland Road in 2018 to join Italian side Sampdoria.

, the 22-year-old can leave the Italians this summer, so Leeds should look at joining the race for him.

The report explains that Hellas Verona are pursuing a deal for him, but that they are not the only club interested in his signature.

Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani previously admitted that manager Marcelo Bielsa was “not happy” when Vieira was sold two years ago ().

It could be the perfect opportunity for him to make it up to him by trying to get him back in Yorkshire and he’s a player that would bring a lot to the squad, as he’s a physical presence that would suit the Premier League.

Vieira, 22, is an all-action English central midfielder that could help cover for Kalvin Phillips at the base of midfield, plus be an energetic understudy to fan favourite Mateusz Klich.
