TBR View: Leeds midfielder Jamie Shackleton is still key to Marcelo Bielsa
There is still time to conduct transfer business with teams from the lower leagues while the EFL window remains open, but the regular transfer window shut on Monday and it looks like Leeds may have done most of their business already.
They have a squad that has adjusted extremely well to life back in the Premier League and manager Marcelo Bielsa likes to work with a close-knit group of players.
One area that the Yorkshire club potentially look a little thin on the ground is in the centre of the park, especially when Adam Forshaw is someone that has been sidelined with a long-term injury.
The Whites have Kalvin Phillips and Mateusz Klich as ever-presents in the midfield, while the likes of Pablo Hernandez or Rodrigo can slot into a more offensive central roles if needed.
Leeds academy graduate Jamie Shackleton is the other first-team option that is available and looking at his position in the squad proves he is loved by manager Bielsa.

Leeds took the transfer decision to loan out youngster Mateusz Bogusz to Spanish club Logrones, plus they opted against signing a new central midfielder in the summer window.
Bielsa has put faith in Shackleton to provide first-team cover this season in the top-flight and it’s been a remarkable rise for the Englishman in such a short space of time.
Shackleton may have had limited game time so far with just one appearance off the bench in the opening four league games, but he’s been named in the matchday squad for each one and is knocking on the door.
The 20-year-old is an all-action central midfielder that played in the cup fixture against Hull City and his versatility to also cover other areas of the park makes him valuable to the manager.
It may have been an easy option to offload the youngster on loan following promotion to the Premier League, but Bielsa must consider him an integral member of the group and the transfer decision to keep him should give him huge belief.
