TBR View: Leeds could have a real gem but Robbie Gotts has a problem to solve first
Robbie Gotts is currently on loan at Lincoln City where he will hope to impress Marcelo Bielsa and force his way into the first-team reckoning at Leeds United.
The Whites academy starlet made the switch to the Imps in October and will hope to feature prominently in Michael Appleton’s team.
Lincoln have hopes of challenging for promotion to the Championship and playing for a team that plays attractive football should benefit Gotts.
The player has the potential to be a real gem and he’s highly-rated at Elland Road.

There is, however, one potential problem staring the Leeds youngster firmly in the face.
It has taken the youngster some time to force his way into the team at the LNER Stadium and he will hope to feature more.
One issue could be that he’s too versatile and he might be better trying to hold down a particular position.
Gotts has featured at right-back and in central midfield during his time at Lincoln as he tries to pin down a regular place.
Bielsa has made no secret that he welcomes versatility in his players but his chances of a Leeds breakthrough might be hampered at the moment.
Accomplished
During his only league appearance for the Whites, last season Gotts played in a right midfield role in a further nod to his versatility.
For an experienced player to be able to operate in a number of roles is seen as a useful attribute. For a youngster, however, it could prove problematic.

Gotts needs to find his way and it’d be beneficial for him if Appleton chose to utilise him in a single position.
There is plenty of time for the gem to find his way at Lincoln.
If he can pin down a single position and start to shine it could help his first-team chances back at Elland Road.
