Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott finally made his England Under-21s debut on Friday night.

Coach Lee Carsley called the Reds talent up last September, but he had to withdraw due to injury.

There were fears over how long Elliott would be out following the ankle injury he suffered against Leeds.

However, the 18-year-old worked hard on his rehabilitation and was back in action by February.

Elliott has picked up from where he left off and is now looking as sharp as ever.

Carsley didn’t hesitate in calling the Anfield gem up at the first possible opportunity.

And on Friday night, Elliott started and played the full 90 minutes in the European qualifying win over Andorra.

The Young Lions ran out 4-1 winners in Bournemouth.

Jacob Ramsey, Folarin Balogun, Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Gordon netted for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Albert Rosas netted a consolation for the visitors on 62 minutes.
