Tanguy Ndombele showing Danny Rose that Tottenham turnaround is possible – TBR View
Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is proving that there is life at the club under Jose Mourinho, even if things are looking bleak.
The Frenchman has struggled to impose himself at Spurs since sealing a mega-money move to the club. Last season, Ndombele was something of a peripheral figure under Jose Mourinho and towards the end of the season, put in a number of abject performances.

Those who have seen the Amazon documentary about Tottenham will realise that things hadn’t been too simple for Ndombele. But, the impression was that Daniel Levy and Mourinho wanted the midfielder to succeed.
And unlike Danny Rose, who now finds himself isolated away from the squad and struggling, Ndombele has managed to turn things around in a Spurs shirt and is finally looking like the player the club want him to be.
Growing in confidence
Ndombele has started the last two games under Mourinho. His performance in the rout at Manchester United was that of a man who is determined to prove his worth.
Then once again, last night, the his class with a brilliant 73 minutes for the north Londoners. Indeed, it might be a bit of a coincidence that things fell apart when Ndombele left the field.

But regardless of the 3-3 last night, Ndombele is giving Jose Mourinho a problem he probably didn’t think he would have this term.
Spurs now have a number of quality midfielders in the middle. Winks, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, all quality players who are capable of playing in differing systems if needs be.
It’s an exciting time to be a Tottenham fan. And with Ndombele finally delivering the goods and looking like a top midfield player, that elusive wait for a trophy could soon be over for them.
