Tanguy Ndombele posts on Instagram for first time as a Tottenham player
Tanguy Ndombele has posted on Instagram for the first time as a Tottenham Hotspur player, thanking Lyon’s staff members and fans for their support as he swapped the French side for north London.
The 22-year-old put pen to paper on a club-record deal this week, as Spurs completed two signings in one day – the other being Jack Clarke from Leeds United, who has returned to the Championship promotion candidates.
have spent £63million to land the France international, who has won plenty of praise for his performances in the middle of the park for Lyon in both Ligue 1 and in the Champions League.
Spurs won the race to land the former Amiens star, and Ndombele thanked the likes of president Jean-Michel Aulas, manager Bruno Genesio and the club’s supporters for his time at Lyon.

It is translated as: “After two years at Lyon, a new challenge is coming. Big thank you to Lyon for allowing me to progress at all levels. I would like to thank the president, Jean-Michel Aulas, Bruno Genesio, his staff and especially Florian Maruice and my agents.
“I do not forget, of course, the supporters who have always supported me in moments good and bad. Playing at the Groupama Stadium will always be an amazing time. I wish success to my teammates from Lyon and to the club.
“Heading to Tottenham and the Premier League. TN.”
TBR’s view – Ndombele post shows maturity, another Spurs plus
Taking the the time out to send a heartfelt message to the supporters and the management of Lyon shows that Ndombele is mature for his age. Certainly, he is playing beyond his years.
Social media can affect supporters’ view of you in this day and age. Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard continue to come under enormous criticism for their social media behaviour.
But for Ndombele to send a long-winded, emotional message to Lyon shows that he has his head screwed on and that can only be a plus for Spurs ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
