Tancredi Palmeri says West Ham have been offered Diego Costa
West Ham United have been offered the chance to sign free agent Diego Costa,
The former Chelsea striker has been without a club since leaving Atletico Madrid earlier this month.
Costa scored twice in seven appearances earlier this season for Los Rojiblancos but Diego Simeone opted to let him leave.
The 32-year-old is likely to demand a sizeable wage, although could relish a return to the Premier League before tonight’s deadline.

Costa collected a cool at the Wanda Metropolitano and he’s unlikely to come cheap to any potential suitor.
The former Blues star scored 58 goals in 120 appearances at Stamford Bridge and quickly became a fan favourite.
He helped Chelsea to two Premier League titles and has been a constant menace to defenders throughout his career.
Costa’s representatives have now proposed their client to the Hammers ahead of tonight’s deadline in England.
West Ham are fifth in the Premier League and their supporters will be dreaming of Europe for the first time in many years.
It’s fair to suggest a striker is required though, with Michail Antonio the only senior option in attack.
Sebastien Haller was allowed to join Ajax earlier this month and a replacement has not yet been added.
TBR View: Costa could be Moyes masterstroke
The West Ham boss has got his team playing some lovely stuff and adding Costa could be really shrewd.

He would likely cost a fair bit in wages but with no transfer fee involved, he could appeal to Moyes.
Adding a player with Costa’s goalscoring reputation would send a message out to the rest of the Premier League.
At 32 he still has a few more years left and West Ham have a big decision to make in the next few hours.
