Darren Ambrose suggests Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg gets too much stick
Speaking on , former Ipswich Town midfielder Darren Ambrose defended Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and insisted that he is a good player.
“He gets a lot of stick, or he has got a lot of stick for Spurs,” Ambrose said.
“I think he is a good player and I think he performs when he needs to. He is passionate as well. We have seen some of the celebrations when he clears one off the line. He loves it.
“And, like you (Majestic) said, they (Denmark) play him a little bit further forward, and I think that could suit him quite well.”
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to leave Tottenham Hotspur
Hojbjerg looks set to depart Tottenham this summer, with Jose Mourinho keen to reunite with him at Fenerbahce.
Serie A giants AC Milan are also considering a move for the 28-year-old, who has an asking price of £17m.
The former Southampton midfielder is currently away with Denmark at the European Championships in Germany, so any forthcoming deal likely won’t take place until after the tournament.
Hojbjerg and Djed Spence have been two outgoings worked on over the last few weeks and it seems the stumbling block has been around the fee.
Daniel Levy is a tough negotiator, so he won’t allow any of his players to leave for below their market value.
