TalkSPORT pundit says Zaha is more than good enough for Arsenal

Anton Ferdinand that Wilfried Zaha would be more than good enough for Arsenal amid speculation that the forward could leave Crystal Palace in the final days of the transfer window.

Zaha has started the campaign in fine form. The 29-year-old missed the defeat to Manchester City at the weekend. But he had scored three goals in the first three games.

He is perhaps playing as well as he ever has. And with that, there are now rumours that he could get the chance to leave Selhurst Park before the deadline passes.

that Chelsea are considering a bid for Zaha. Those reports come about as they struggle to agree a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

But they are not his only admirers. In fact, it has recently been claimed that the Gunners may also have their eye on Zaha.

Of course, Arsenal want to sign one more forward. And Pedro Neto is the name at the top of their list. But they are also monitoring Zaha.

And when asked whether he would be a good signing for a club like Arsenal or Chelsea, Ferdinand was pretty emphatic in his response.

“I think he’s more than capable. I think people judge the Man United move on why some people might say no. At a young age, he went to Manchester United. I think he’s seasoned. I think he’s someone who knows what he’s very, very good at,” .

“His output in the final third has got a lot better than what it was. He is a fantastic player. And he’s someone who will get people off their seats, so Chelsea fans would love him. Arsenal fans would love him. And he’s that little bit more mature now.”

Zaha good enough for Arsenal

Arsenal would surely benefit from adding one more notable signing before the deadline passes. They have made a brilliant start to the campaign.

But there are bigger hurdles to come. And their squad is going to be stretched by their return to the Europa League.

Having someone such as Zaha in the ranks will only help the club. He is possibly at the peak of his powers right now. And an offer from Arsenal would surely leave him with food for thought ahead of the window’s closure.
