‘Talented’ attacker may be too old to sign for Tottenham, he’s the same age as Yves Bissouma
Hwang Hee-Chan is having an incredible season at Wolves.
The South Korean has been banging the goals in for the Midlands club, and, as you can imagine, his good form has led to interest from some of the bigger clubs in the Premier League.
There has been some chat about the attacker joining Tottenham to link up with his international teammate Heung-Min Son.
However, speaking on , Sky Sports’ Lyall Thomas has poured some cold water on these rumours, claiming that when Spurs do next sign an attacker they’ll go for someone younger than Hwang, despite the fact he’s only 27 years old, the same age as someone like Yves Bissouma.

Hwang too old for Tottenham
Thomas spoke about the ‘talented’ attacker.
“I think if he carries on the way he’s going yeah, he’s stepped up a level, but I think with Spurs if they do something permanent it would be a younger player. They operate on two fronts and primary they have been operating on young players to come in like Dragusin who will be for the project long-term rather than established players who are a short-term thing,” Thomas said.
Not too old
We can understand the idea of wanting to sign younger players, but if you’re saying a 27-year-old is too old then we’re starting to question the direction in which the sport is going.
Hwang is only just getting to his best, now would be the perfect time to sign him, but because he may not have too much resell value in a few years’ time, Tottenham aren’t too keen on him.
At the age of just 27, Hwang is more than worth a punt for any top side looking for a new striker as you’ll likely get half a decade of good service out of him at least.
