Takefusa Kubo hails ‘awesome’ Liverpool and Reds should swoop
Japanese talent Takefusa Kubo has been singing the praises of Liverpool this week. the 17-year-old attacker made it clear that it is Jurgen Klopp’s team that interest him the most in the west.
“The team I think play the most interesting football is Liverpool.
“I feel they are awesome when I watch their games. It’s not really to say they are my ‘favourite’, but more like ‘awesome’.”
Kubo has played in Europe before. He was in the famed Barcelona academy before having to leave due to new regulations on non-EU players. He was dubbed the because of his wicked left-foot and physical similarity to the Argentine star.
But Liverpool appear to appeal to him more, not mentioning them in a long list of clubs keen on his signature in the summer.

The teenager is currently at Yokohama F Marinos in his homeland but his future looks to be in European football.
So should Liverpool be interested?
It is hard to see why not.
Jurgen Klopp has a fine record developing young players. The academy at Melwood is also one of the best in the world. Klopp has worked with Japanese players before, such as Shinji Kagawa, which would undoubtedly inspire Kubo into the move. So there is plenty of evidence to support an approach.
He is a top talent, clearly keen on Liverpool, and has huge marketing potential.
Liverpool should definitely consider him an option in the summer.
