Swansea player says what Joe Rodon thought of reported Tottenham talks on deadline day
Swansea City ace Connor Roberts that defender Joe Rodon was concentratingܫ on playing for Wales against England on Thursday – after asking his Swansea and Wales teammate about Tott🐽enham’s reported interest.
Spཧurs failed in ಌtheir bid to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan and reports on deadline day claimed the north London club had turned their attention to that of 22-year-old Rodon. in an earlier report that Swansea are expecting a bid.
It is believed Spurs value the Wales international at just £7million, while Swansea want as much as £20million for Rodon – though a compromise could be met before Octo🌺ber 16. He has entered the final two years of his contract at Swansea.
Roberts has told BBC Sport that he was with Rodon on deadline d♛ay when the talks with Tottenham emerged – and having asked the defender “what the crack” was, Roberts claimed Rodon was simply focusing on playing for Wales on Thursday🌄.
“I don’t want him to go anywhere,” “I was with him on deadline day [Mond🥃ay] and chilling with him. I was asking w𒈔hat the crack is. He was just thinking about thꦏe next game, we are plꦦaying England for Wales and that is all that is in his head.”

TBR’s view – Is Rodon good enough for Spurs? What price is fair?
Rodon has shown – albeit in just 54 Swansea senior outings – that he is one of the best defenders in Championship football. At the age of 22,𒅌 that is an impressive feat. He is also looking as though he could become a regular for Wales under Ryan Giggs.
Spurs already boast Welsh stars Ben Davies and Gareth Bale – who shares the same representatives as Rodon (). But is he good enough for Tottenham? Certainly, he is not the finished article – though he has enormous pot𝓡ential.
A good addition and potentially an excellent signing in years to come. Right now, £20million is high but £7million is far too low. There needs to be more maneuverability from Tottenham’s end, tha♔n🍷 Swansea’s. £15million is fair.
