Rangers are reportedly interested in bringing Russell Martin to Ibrox as the Gers prepare to lose Steven Gerrard as their manager.
Gerrard looks set to take the Aston Villa job. And with that, the Gers are now searching for his potential replacement.

that one of the names that they are considering is Martin. It is noted that the 35-year-old is attracting admirers from a host of clubs.
Martin, of course, is no stranger to Rangers. Unfortunately, his brief spell with the club was not a successful one. And he came in for a lot of criticism during his time on loan with the Gers.
It does appear that few Rangers fans would now want him appointed as Gerrard’s successor.

And it appears that the Gers supporters and Swansea fans have found common ground, with no one wanting Martin to leave the Liberty Stadium.
He has made a bright start to life in South Wales following his appointment in the summer. The Swans are within touching distance of the play-off spots right now.
He has also implemented an impressive style of play. No side in the Championship has had more possession than Swansea so far, .
And the Swans fans clearly feel that it would be a huge blow to lose Martin. That should certainly encourage sceptical Rangers supporters should the links become more concrete.
With that in mind, here is what some of the Swansea fans make of the links between Rangers and Martin…
Turning off twitter can’t be seeing any of this Martin to Rangers stuff rn😢

rangers fans do not deserve martin with the way theyve been doubting him x

If Martin goes to Rangers I swear to god but I don’t really see him leaving now, however I do see him leaving in the future.

Can’t see it happening mate. Football is a funny game, but moving him and his family from MK to Swansea to Glasgow in a few months, can’t see him shooting off this early. Definitely at some point in the future though if we don’t go up over the next couple seasons.

I think it’s far too early, if it were April id be more convinced. However on a more positive note this shows how highly people think of Martin, and in retrospect how great of an appointment it was.

Don’t be silly Rangers fans you don’t want RM he is too inexperienced, you didn’t like him as a player , he is not for you lots of good experience managers out there currently 😉😉😉

I will hate football if this happens. Be a real shame but what an opportunity if it came up for him. Be shocked if he moved from MK to Swansea to Glasgow in 100 days
