‘Surprised by this’, ‘Why?’: Some Leeds fans react to their Tuesday announcement
Leeds United announced the departure of youngster Leif Davis on Tuesday – and some Whites fans on Twitter are not happy with the news.
The Yorkshire club have that the 21-year-old has completed a move to Championship club Bournemouth on a season-long loan.
He’s an exciting left-back from the Leeds youth team, but he’ll now play the upcoming campaign in the second tier.
The defender has played 14 senior games for Marcelo Bielsa’s side. However, he’ll be pushing for a full first-team experience with Scott Parker’s Bournemouth.

Do Leeds fans have right to be disgruntled with Davis exit?
First of all, a selection of Leeds supporters on social media suggest that granting a loan for Davis leaves them short of options. In addition, Bournemouth the deal includes the option to make it permanent.
Davis has provided cover for Leeds at left-back in the past couple of years, but it’s been rare that he’s been called upon. The full-back is most likely craving opportunities, so for him it looks a great move.
Leeds have new signing Junior Firpo as their first-choice left-back, however, Ezgjan Alioski is no longer an option after exiting Elland Road this summer.
Fortunately, Bielsa does have an ace up his sleeve in the form of versatile star Stuart Dallas.
Some Whites supporters raise a fair point that using Dallas as the cover for left-back means you can miss his quality in midfield. Bielsa has shown he does work well though with a close-knit group.
