Surely Scott Sinclair will leave, with Celtic reportedly set to sign £3m-rated attacker

Celtic are reportedly set to complete the signing of Billel Omrani from CFR Cluj this summer, after the Scottish champions were impressed with the French star during their Champions League exit – but could that mean an exit of one of their best players?

Celtic are ready to splash £3million on the 26-year-old attacker, who is renowned for his speed, trickery, and eye for goal. He scored twice as Cluj knocked Celtic out of the Champions league qualifying stage.

Typically, Celtic have drawn Cluj in Europa League qualifying after the Romanian side were knocked out in the play-off Champions League stage. But Celtic are still reportedly expected to complete a move to sign Omrani.

The former Marseille ace is in superb form this season, having scored eight goals in 13 games. Neil Lennon is expected to bring in a couple of players before Monday, despite already signing Moritz Bauer and Fraser Forster from Stoke and Southampton.

So, if Celtic land Omrani, they will finally give themselves a winger that can match the goalscoring impact on the left, as James Forrest does on the right. But if Omrani is signed, Scott Sinclair is only going to fall down the pecking order even more.

Currently, 30-year-old Sinclair is struggling to break his way into the Celtic side, with many supporters questioning why he continues to be left out of the side despite scoring a huge 61 goals since joining the club in the summer of 2016.

The former Manchester City star has entered the final 12 months of his current deal, and Sinclair looks as though he is likely to leave Celtic anyway. But the signing of Omrani would surely increase the chances of Sinclair leaving the club.

Sinclair has been linked with a move down south after shining in Glasgow, and the signing of Omrani will surely push him closer to an exit – whether that is abroad before Monday, or to England in January.
