Surely Leeds have to reignite link, with Wolves star reportedly set to leave for £12m

Wolverhampton Wanderers are likely to offload a number of players this summer and Ivan Cavaleiro is reportedly allowed to leave for £12million – and Leeds United have to reignite their reported January interest.

back in the January window that the 25-year-old winger was a target for Leeds, with Marcelo Bielsa looking to add a wide man to his squad. They have also been linked with Jamal Lowe and Daniel James.

earlier this week that Wolves are willing to sell two-time Portugal international Cavaleiro this summer, but will request any interested parties pay £12million.

Cavaleiro scored three Premier League goals in 23 top-tier appearances this season, but with Wolves preferring to use wing-backs, wingers Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Adama Traore struggled for game time.

Leeds need a winger. Jack Clarke is being linked with Tottenham Hotspur, while Jack Harrison has returned to Man City after his loan. Some reports claim that Leeds want Harrison permanently, but for a huge £20million.

But at a much cheaper price, Cavaleiro is a proven Championship performer and knows what it takes to gain promotion. He has clocked up 73 appearances for Wolves in the Championship, he scored 14 and laid on 17 assists.

Though £12million is somewhat expensive, Cavaleiro’s promotion experience and his ability to find the back of the net in the Championship would make £12million well spent.

Adding Cavaleiro to Bielsa’s side would give them a much bigger tool in their bid for promotion next season.
