Supporters react to performance of Everton star Lucas Digne in France win

France beat Croatia 2-1 last night in Group C of the Nations League and supporters have been raving about Everton defender Lucas Digne.

Les Blues completed the victory thanks to goals from Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, with Nikola Vlasic scoring for the hosts.

Digne signed for Everton in 2018 from Barcelona and has become one of the best left-backs in the Premier League during his time on Merseyside.

The 27-year-old has been integral to Everton’s perfect start to their Premier League campaign and Carlo Ancelotti will be hoping he’s fit for the weekend’s game with Liverpool.

Digne hobbled off in Croatia last night and the Toffees face an anxious wait on whether or not he will be available.

The Frenchman has played 83 times for Everton during his two years in English football and has so far been fortunate with injuries.

Last night’s outing was his 33rd outing for the World Cup winners and last night his assist for Mbappe caught the eye.

A superb ball from Paul Pogba was volleyed into the path of the PSG sensation; who duly obliged from close range.

Following the player’s superb display on international duty, we looked at what supporters were saying on Twitter about the left-back.
