‘Superstar’ Tottenham target is ‘tempted by a London move’
Tottenham Hotspur are off the mark in the transfer window, but have been relatively quiet for the most part.
One player has joined Spurs so far this summer, with England youth prodigy Archie Gray swapping Leeds for Tottenham at the start of July.
With August edging every closer, more and more transfer dominoes are starting to fall, and more transfer activity could soon be on the cards in the Premier League.
There have been a few transfer sagas taking place, with high-profile players reportedly sought after by a number of top clubs including Tottenham.
Ben Jacobs has now spoken about a “superstar” attacking talent who has been linked with Spurs, Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool amongst others.
The transfer insider, speaking on talkSPORT, has claimed that said player is “quite tempted by a London move” and a summer departure is a possibility.

Federico Chiesa tempted by London move amid Tottenham links
The player in question is Italy international Federico Chiesa, who appears likely to leave Juventus this summer.
Recent reports claimed Tottenham were readying a bid for the 26-year-old, while Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool have been mentioned as suitors for Chiesa too.
“I think what we can say is that Tottenham have looked at him for a while, as have Newcastle,” said Jacobs. “The player doesn’t want to go to Newcastle, but he’s quite tempted by a London move.
“And it’s the first real window where a Chiesa exit actually feels possible compared to previous ones where (he was) always linked with the Premier League, but not for sale was the stance and the player was very happy.
“Now it’s a different story and an exit is a possibility.”
Chiesa a solid and inexpensive option for Premier League giants
Chiesa came through the ranks at Fiorentina before joining Juventus in 2020 on an initial loan deal and signing permanently in 2022.
The 26-year-old, who can play across the entire front line, has made 131 outings for Juve, registering 34 goals and 25 assists.
Admittedly, Chiesa wasn’t at his best for Italy at Euro 2024, but few Azzurri players could hold their heads up high after their dismal last-16 exit.
Lauded as a ‘superstar‘ over in Italy, Chiesa would be a solid acquisition for any top Premier League club.
And with a reported price tag of around £25million, he wouldn’t break the bank for any leading English top-flight outfit either.
