‘Submitted an official bid’: Fabrizio Romano has transfer news for Tottenham fans

According to , Tottenham have submitted a bid to sign FC Metz wonderkid Pape Sarr, with talks continuing.
What’s the story?
Well, Nuno Espirito Santo could soon have a huge prospect on his hands.
Romano believes Tottenham have made an offer for the 18-year-old, with negotiations progressing between Fabio Paratici and FC Metz.
An agreement will hopefully be found over the next few days.
Romano adds that Sarr could even arrive on loan, presumably with Tottenham holding an option to buy the midfielder.
Interestingly, the news comes after Tanguy Ndombele asked to leave Spurs, so Sarr could well turn out to be the Frenchman’s replacement.
Why have Tottenham bid for Pape Sarr?

It’s no surprise to hear that Tottenham have bid for Sarr.
Despite his age, the teenager is a key player for FC Metz, starting of the club’s Ligue 1 games so far this season.
It comes after he impressively made appearances in all competitions for the French side last term.
The FC Metz No.15 also has caps for Senegal.

Interestingly, Sarr has been described as a tempo-setting midfielder, who can sit and dictate the play.

Coincidentally, Tottenham have been linked with Pjanic, so perhaps Paratici is trying to find this exact profile of player – a deep-lying playmaker.
If Spurs pull this deal off, it would be a tremendous signing.
