Sublime Cresswell dominated Everton in impressive display

Aaron Cresswell starred for West Ham in their win over Everton.

David Moyes’ has turned West Ham into a side that no one enjoys playing against.

Everton found that out when they hosted Moyes’ Irons.

Returning to Goodison Park, Moyes masterminded a 1-0 win over Rafa Benitez’s Everton.

This will have been even sweeter given how often Benitez came out on top when the two met in Merseyside derbies.

One of the key reasons behind West Ham’s win was the performance of Aaron Cresswell at left-back.

The 31-year-old was on top of his game at Goodison Park.

The stats that he put up were akin with those achieved by some of the best tempo setters in football.

That’s even more impressive seeing as he featured at left-back.

He also won 8 of his 9 duels and 6 of his 7 aerial duels.

On top of that he made 1 interception, 1 tackle and completed 10 recoveries ().

This was a performance to remember for Cresswell.

The West Ham man has racked up 261 appearances for the Hammers () and this was surely one of his best.

This was a performance deserving of every penny of the £50k-a-week that Cresswell earns ().

This was a performance and a win for the Hammers that saw them rise to 7th in the table.

With a win next weekend against Tottenham they’ll rise to at least 6th.

This has been a wonderful start for Cresswell and co to the Premier League season and the fans will just be hoping that there’s more to come.
