Stuart Dallas claims Leeds teammate is example to all after Fulham win

Stuart Dallas has paid tribute to Dan James on Instagram and insisted that the Leeds United summer signing is an example to all after their Carabao Cup win at Fulham.

The Whites are into the hat for the fourth round of the competition. They needed penalties to see off Marco Silva’s side at Craven Cottage.

Leeds did however, produce some impressive attacking football during the 90 minutes. And one of those who seemed to stand out was James.

It has not been the easiest start to life at Elland Road for the Welshman. Of course, his cause has probably not been helped by the club he has signed from, as well as the fee he has arrived for.

But he was unable to make much of an impact after coming on for his debut against Liverpool. And he was fairly quiet on his first start, away at Newcastle. He should surely however, have had a first-half penalty.

But James was much brighter against Fulham.

And his display was all the more remarkable as it turns out that James had only arrived in London a few hours before kick-off after his wife gave birth earlier in the day.

Dallas lauded debutants Joe Gelhardt and Stuart McKinstry on social media. But he also heaped praise on James following the victory…

The supporters will be hoping to see more from James in the Premier League. At the end of the day, the club parted with a lot of money to sign the 23-year-old at a time when the fans desperately wanted a centre-midfielder brought in.

But the early signs are extremely positive. He has improved in each game since arriving at Elland Road.

And he is clearly impressing his teammates with his dedication to the cause.
