Stuart Dallas and Raphinha send positive Instagram messages to Leeds teammate
Leeds United duo Stuart Dallas and Raphinha both sent message on to teammate Robin Koch after his Saturday performance.
24-year-old Whites star Koch, who was filling in as midfield cover, was part of the Leeds team that beat Tottenham 3-1 on the weekend at Elland Road.
The German defender impressed again in the deeper midfield position, as the Yorkshire giants earned another three points to move into the top half of the Premier League table.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side reached the 50-point mark with the eye-catching win over Spurs, with Stuart Dallas, Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo Moreno all on the scoresheet.
They now have just three league games left against Burnley, Southampton and West Brom. It’s been a sensational return to the top flight this season, and a top-half finish is still firmly on the cards.
TBR’s View:
Koch can act as strong cover for midfield specialist Kalvin Phillips in front of the back four, but his future is in defence.
As bad as injuries have been this season for manager Bielsa, it’s meant he’s had a good opportunity to look at all four of his senior centre-backs at different times.
Diego Llorente and Pascal Struijk are the men in possession of the shirts right now as the preferred centre-half combination. However, Koch and club captain Liam Cooper are equally such strong options that will want to be in the XI.
