Former Celtic midfielder Stuart Christie has raved about Ryan Christie, after the midfielder scored against Israel in last week’s Nations League match.
The 25-year-old was on target from the penalty spot after John McGinn was bundled over in the area.

Christie was excellent for the Tartan Army, operating from the left and providing creativity and spontaneity.
He was always looking to beat his man, and perhaps deserved to be on the winning side.
His performance earned a great deal of praise from £7 million Southampton star Armstrong (), who said of his old teammate after the game (): “I’ve known Ryan a long time, having been at Celtic together. And you can see his quality every day in training.
“Especially in these last couple of seasons, he’s taken it to another level with Celtic and has been fantastic.

“Even in the European games, he excels. He has so much energy. His technique is spot-on, especially his first touch at speed – that’s incredible.
Christie’s performance on Friday is sure to have boosted his chances of starting against the Czech Republic tonight.
TBR’s View – Christie form crucial for Celtic
Christie’s display against Israel is encouraging for Celtic.
The star has had a decent start to the 2020/21 season so far, producing two goals and two assists in six outings (including Champions League qualifying).

With 19 goals and 16 assists in 2019/20, Christie’s attacking influence for the Hoops is clear.
He is the next best source of productivity after Odsonne Edouard, and his form will key in staving off another title challenge from Rangers.
Hopefully, Christie can continue to shine against the Czech Republic tonight.
