Struggling West Ham player may get unlikely last chance against Leicester City

West Ham United will be without Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri for this weekend’s clash with Leicester City, Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed ().

Lanzini limped off against Manchester United last time out with what has since been detemrined as an adductor problem.

The Argentine ace had a scan this week, and the game comes too soon for him.

Frenchman Nasri will also be unavailable as he is still struggling with a calf problem.

With Robert Snodgrass to respond to a (currently inactive) one-game ban (), Pellegrini is a little short against the Foxes – but one man will be desperately hoping to get the nod.

TBR’s view

Lucas Perez has endured a nightmare debut season at the London Stadium and could be in the last-chance saloon.

His form has been really disappointing, with expectations high following his £4 million switch from Arsenal ().

With Nasri, Lanzini and possibly Snodgrass out this weekend, it could be his last chance to prove he can offer something.

Have a good impact and impress from now until the end of the season, and it might just spare him from being sold.
