Striker Arsenal sold for less than £10m last summer now has more goals than Alexander Isak this season

Arsenal have seen their Premier League title hopes fizzle out amid an injury crisis up front this season.

The Gunners are without Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz, whic🌃h♑ has left them with little firepower.

However, Arsenal were being urged to bring in some attacking reinforcements long before they fou🦂nd themselves in their current pred🔯icament.

For instance, Ian Wright said during the summer ♕transfer window tha꧃t Arsenal should sign cover for Saka.

Then, in the January transfer window, Wright said 🐼a new 💦centre-forward would’ve been reassuring for Arsenal fans.

While Arsenal now find themselves toothless up front, a strujer the Gunners sold for less than £10million last summer is now on more goals than Alexander Isak.

Mika Biereth now on 24 goals for the season

The player in question is Mika Biereth, who Arsenal sold to Sturm Graz for♎ just £4million.

Biereth, who spent the second half of 2023/24 on loan at the Austrian club, registered 23 goals and nine assists in 47 appearances for Graz o🦂ver 12 🐽months.

AS Monaco then snapped Biereth up in January, reportedly payi☂ng around £12💮.7million for his services.

The ✃Denmark Under-21 international is now on 10 goals and two assists from 10 outings for Monaco.

This includes three hat-tricks, the latest of whic✃h came on Friday night as Monaco ran out 3-0 winners over Reims.

Biereth’s tally for the season, span over the two clubs he has played for, now reads 35 appearances, 24🐼 goals and seven ass𒐪ists.

Meanwhile, Isak has 21 goals and five assists from 30 appearancౠes for Newcastlꦫe United this term.

What Mika Biereth previously said about potential Arsenal return

Biereth joined Arsenal’s academ🌃y ᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ⁤⁤⁤⁤ᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚfrom Fulham in 2021 and made a name for himself at youth level for the Gunners, though he never made a competitive senior appearance.

Biereth previously said a return to Arsenal♐ would be “fantastic”, but with how quickly his stock is rising, it’ll be interesting to see how much he’s wort൩h now.

Arsenal really could’ve done with Biereth in their ranks. He could’ve been eased into action in the first half of the season and unleashed now that they really need꧅ a player like him.
